The Ladder Association has published a voluntary Code of Practice covering guidance on simple, sensible precautions to take when using a ladder, which has been supported by the GB Health and Safety Executive.

It relates to portable ladders that have been designed and produced in accordance with standards recognised by the Ladder Association, such as EN131, and which carry third party certification marks.
