NEBOSH HSE Managing Risks and Risk Assessment at Work

Course overview

This jointly developed course from NEBOSH and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is designed for attendees to develop practical risk management and assessment skills.

Who should attend

  • Anyone who is involved in managing workplace health and safety risks including those who undertake risk assessments. 

The course covers how to:

  • Identify hazards and be aware of some of the available resources to help
  • Assess risks in a low to medium risk premises using HSE tools
  • Evaluate risks in a proportionate and sensible manner
  • Identify suitable control measures

Assessment

  • Practical assessment, approx. 1 hour, done on the day of training

 Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements for this qualification.

It is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.  NEBOSH recommends that learners undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.
