NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

The NEBOSH National General Certificate provides an excellent foundation in occupational safety and health for all types of organisations.  It helps its holders manage risk effectively by covering a broad range of topics, and is ideal for:

  • Those looking to start a career in health and safety

The course covers:

  • How to effectively manage health and safety
  • The UK's key legal requirements
  • How to identify and control common workplace hazards
  • How to carry out risk assessments
  • How to manage and minimise workplace risks

The NEBOSH Certificate is a widely respected qualification which meets the requirements for Technical Membership of IOSH and Associate Membership of IIRSM.

Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements for this qualification.

It is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.  NEBOSH recommends that learners undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.

NEBOSH assessment fees

NEBOSH charge £92.00 per assessment (x2)*.  These are included in the Peak HSE course price.  If any re-sits are required these will be charged separately and are not included in the original cost of the course.
