Course overview
This jointly developed course from NEBOSH and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is designed for attendees to learn how to effectively investigate non-complex incidents and how, by doing so, organisations can avoid similar incidents in the future.

The course covers
- Moral, legal and financial arguments for investigations
- Human and organisational factors that can contribute to an incident
- The process for investigating incidents including evidence gathering
- Positive interview strategies and the barriers to successful interviews

Assessment
- A practical assessment, approx. 1 hour done on the day of training

Entry requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification.
It is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus. NEBOSH recommends that learners undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.
