Course overview
This jointly developed course from NEBOSH and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is designed for attendees to develop practical risk management and assessment skills.
Who should attend
- Anyone who is involved in managing workplace health and safety risks including those who undertake risk assessments.
The course covers
- Identify hazards and be aware of some of the availability resources to help
- Assess risks in a low to medium risk premises using HSE tools
- Evaluate risks in a proportionate and sensible manner
- Identify suitable control measures

Assessment
- A practical assessment, approx. 1 hour done on the day of training

Entry requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification.
It is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus. NEBOSH recommends that learners undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.
